On this page we are going to describe our guild and how we operate for any new or prospective members. We are a social guild for SWTOR operating on The Progenitor european server. There, that's the basics covered ;)
Social Guild, that means Fun Guild!
This is not an elitist guild and we like being friendly, social and approachable. We are happy to chat on forums and have many experienced and awesome players who like to help new guys start out in the right direction.
International Membership, English as a common language
We are an eclectic and very international guild and welcome as many different nationalities as we can, but with that said we keep the forums and guild chat in English to avoid anyone feeling excluded from the discussions.
No minimum attendance, no fuss, but inactive chars do get cleaned up
There's no crazy rules about having to attend meetings or spending x hours logged in a week, no worries there. We do a lot of operations and PvP but if you don't want to do that stuff, no problem.
We do clean up inactive characters after 2 months or so. Being mean? Nope, just realistic, Bioware set a maximum size on guilds and we are pretty big and popular so space is at a premium. If you do get cleaned up, fear not, you can get invited straight back if you contact us once you have more time to play.
End game Content, Operations and More
For a primarily social guild we run a lot of end game content, particularly Operations and PvP. Got an idea for a cool group event? Let us know, if we like it we'll run it and heap praise upon you.
PVE- The Relentless Persecution of Ugly Raid Bosses:
Story Mode Operations and Comms Runs
Those new to operations or in need of better gear are in the right place because we understand that great raiders don't appear by magic, they get great with practice. We run plenty of operations each week that are perfect for gearing up and learning the moves so don't be shy about signing up!
Open Hard Mode Operations
Got the gear & got the moves? We run Open Hard Modes, all you need to do is clear our benchmarks (so we can be sure you are actually ready for Hard Mode) and sign up. Hard Mode operations are fun and challenging and ours are very accessible.
We have Progression HM/NiM teams in addition to our more accessible Open Hard Mode runs. These are for our top raiders so you need to demonstrate your moves to get in and actually turn up on time to the raids. Teams are by invite only, be warned it's a bit of a commitment.
PVP - Organised Violence Against Consenting Adults:
We love our PvP and it's not hard to find detox teams to group with in prime time hours. Sometimes we run specific days for pvp as well so completing weeklies is easy.
Progenitor used to be great for Unranked, but not blessed with a busy Ranked scene... When Darth Malgus server merge kicks in, expect a change!
Open World PvP
We run Open World PvP assaults of republic bases from time to time, and with big numbers. So far we do Oricon Onslaught, Rakghoul Rampage, Gree PvP but we'd consider anywhere.
Conquests - Heartless Oppression of Peaceful Planets:
Detoxified Raven Squad is currently a big planet crushing monster of a guild, we do alot of conquest activities and getting those 20K points is not hard. We don't promise to take a planet each week, but we are likely to score high if not first. If we ever take Endor or Naboo however, I cannot promise we won't blow it up.
Our old policy was very liberal and we liked that, but then we hit the maximum size allowed for a guild and cant do that anymore. Currently we do limited recruitment when we are below 1000 spaces in the guild, primarily looking for active players (pvp/pve) who want to join in with the end game content. Why only end game? Guilds arent any use to you until you hit end game, so don't worry yourself about it 'till you finish the story line.
Character slots in the guild are limited to 8 characters in total
Characters in the guild that are inactive for 60 days may be removed
Please have at least 1 end game character
Can't find an Officer? Don't panic, type up a post in the forums with you problem and we'll pick it up for you.
All guilds have rules, ours are simple and common sense.
Please Respect Other Members
This should go without saying, please consider your fellow player and avoid any inflamatory remarks that are likely to insult or upset others... we are all here to have fun so lets have fun together!
We Dont Condone Bullying, Trolling, Sexism or Stalking
Bullying and sexism take many forms, and in these sad times the internet is full of people who think they can talk/be cruel to other people in ways they wouldn't in real life (in real life they'd often fear being punched in the face or losing their job). We remove bullies from the guild to keep the guild a fun and cool place to play.
Trolling and sexism are really just forms of bullying so we don't put up with them either. Just because they invented a different name for it doesn't make it any less ugly to those on the receiving end.
Don't sell Items from the Guild Bank, it's mean
We do operate a guild bank, each member is limited to taking out 5 items a week. It's got lots of useful items in there, and you are welcome to take things you need to gear up - that's why the bank is there. Please don't take items out just to sell them on GTN or similar, those items could have been used by a fellow guildie who really needed it.
Maturity and Minimum Age
Ideally we would like all our members to be 18 and over, but age is difficult to verify and there are 16 year olds who act as mature as 25 year olds and some 25 year olds that act as mature as children. The GM is the arbiter of maturity in the guild and it's his call whether someone is mature enough or not. We don't take children into the guild.
Dropping people from guild
Sometimes bad things happen in any community, when issues arise it's up to the officers who are logged in at the time to resolve things, so people can get back on with enjoying SWTOR.
Officers do have the right to drop people from the guild, we don't like to do this, but sometimes they have to. Officers wont remove people lightly, ever.
Detoxified Raven Squad has been going since the start of SWTOR, over five years now. Over this time we have had many people (officers & LTs) devote their time to help run the guild, we have lots of love for them. Our current lineup looks a bit like this:
We have a number of LTs and officers operating within the guild to assist members and organize events. Promotions are only made by the Guild Master.
You may find "MAIN" and "-alt- XXXX" in member note which are setting by officers and means which character is main and which is somebody's alt. When you joining the guild with number of your toons you have to tell to officer inviting you which character is your main and which is alt.
